What is the Texas FAIR Plan?
The Texas FAIR (Fair Access to Insurance Requirements) Plan Association provides residential property insurance to Texas homeowners who are unable to obtain coverage in the voluntary private market after being turned down by at least two licensed insurance companies.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for a FAIR Plan policy, your property must be located in Texas, you must have been declined coverage by 2 or more private insurers, and the property must meet basic safety and maintenance standards (no un-repaired storm damage or hazardous electrical wiring).
